Who Are The Kids Of Biggie Smalls?
Biggie had two kids by two different women. His first child, T'yanna, was born on August 8, 1993, to Biggie and his high school sweetheart, Jan Jackson, they had split up sometime before T'yanna's birth. Jan Jackson talked to XXL Magazine about her time with Biggie before T'yanna's birth,
"Around the time my daughter was conceived, Chris got his record deal. We weren’t getting along, and I moved back in with my mother. He was working on his album, so we weren’t spending a lot of time together. We finally broke up when my daughter was eight months old. He got married [to Faith Evans] three months later … I was shocked when he got married. Up until that point, I still had hope alive.> He was still coming to see me, we were still interacting with each other. I really thought I was going along for the ride."
Biggie himself was always a talented student despite not finishing high-school, with a strong talent in English, although the B.I.G. would not go the education route himself he always wished for his daughter to pursue that goal, here's what Biggie told Rolling Stone,
"She ain't got nothing to worry," says B.I.G. about his little girl. "All she gotta do is finish school. Everything she wants, she'll get if she just finish school."
About his own reasons for failing to complete his education he had this interesting take:
"It wasn't like my mother said, 'You finish school, Christopher, and I will buy you a Benz – you don't have to sell drugs for that.' They had said that, I would have been a fuckin' graduate, top of the class."
T'yanna has since become a fashion designer and has her own clothing line and a accompanying website, Notoriouss
Biggie Smalls would marry R&B singer Faith Evans on August 4, 1994, and she would give birth to his son Christopher "C.J." Wallace, Jr. on October 29, 1996, while Biggie was having a love affair with Lil' Kim whos record, Hardcore, he was directing.
C.J. has been following in his father's footsteps by joining a rap group called CJ & Jahad, they had an album planned for release in 2017, but it has yet to be released. C.J. is also pursuing an acting career and is a regular on the MTV slasher series Scream where he plays Amir. But his biggest role yet was playing his own dad in the 2009 biopic Notorious. Here's what C.J. told Vibe about playing that role,
"When I did ‘Notorious,’ my grandma, Ms. [Voletta] Wallace, told me that I should come in and read for the part as my father. Honestly, I didn’t want to do it. I didn’t want to do it because it seemed so likely for me to do it, like Biggie’s son is going to play Biggie. After I had my acting coach and really read through it, I started to find out things that I didn’t know about him. Then I took more of an interest into it. It was actually fun, going out to New York, living like him, going into his old apartment, doing what he did. It was cool."
