Back in 2013, Tupac’s mom, Afeni Shakur opened a lawsuit against Entertainment One who now own Death Row Records. However since Afeni’s passing in 2016, the lawsuit has been kept alive by the Shakur Estate. Just days ago the estate got a major win, when they gained the rights to 2Pac’s unreleased recordings which are said to be a total of 2-3 albums worth of material.

As well as handing over 2Pac’s unreleased music, Entertainment One had to pay the Shakur Estate near six figures in unpaid rolayties from unreleased music they had managed. According to reports the new music will drop soon. The proceeds will be going to 2Pac’s beneficiaries as well as large contributions to be made to charities supported by Tupac and Afeni Shakur.
